A Couple of of Poker’s Charming Guys
by Maci on Oct.09, 2017, under Poker
Literally huge amounts of players want to be the next "big-time thing" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more well known "charming pros" of the game. Granted "nice" is associated with their names when you are at a poker table it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the competition!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his competition winnings amounted to in excess of four and a half million dollars and he captured two immensely admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was chosen Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. Daniel even still has the humility to talk to his admirers about how they can advance their own game.
Howard Lederer
Known as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His accomplishments have lead to him making an educational poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time earnings exceed $2.7 million.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is 1 of the most active players in poker and from Two Thousand and 2004 he ranked in the money in more than 100 competitions. He is noted for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker matches and also coined the term "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad beat. As of 2006, his career winnings are almost $6 million.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has captured five WSOP titles with 2 of his successes happening in 2003. Has the nickname "Jesus" as a result of his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw playing cards quick enough to cut through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total poker tournament earnings exceeded $5 million.
