Net High Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

by Maci on Dec.11, 2017, under Poker

Gus Hansen enjoyed a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only one to make it to the last table in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might recall one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Gus won a huge pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the best players anywhere in the world. While gambling on internet poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. Gus often participates in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of $40, 000. Gus frequently buys in for the minimum of $16, 000 and gambles very poorly. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then goes all-in. I know Hansen is a great poker player but not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is bankrupt, he has absolutely no reason to settle at the game with the minimum buy-in.

Buying in for the min takes a majority of the skill out of big stack poker. Hansen is assumed to be one of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he can’t buy in for the total amt.. I believe tv can alter our view of the real world at times. The best poker players anywhere in the world could be guys you have will not have heard of. Gus can be found betting on internet poker on Full Tilt. He usually competes in high stakes Omaha and texas holdem. Gus has shown himself as a competition player. Can he back up his abilities in money rounds?
