Internet poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer declares "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers are given five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes instantly to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, plus a sum on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out money equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
