Internet poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many types on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the dealer rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier declares "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantaneously to the bank. After the bet is the face off. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including a figure on par with the original bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The dealer pony’s up chips equal to your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
