Web poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with 21 than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers receive five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your bet goes immediately to the house. After the wager comes the showdown. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with a figure equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pays money equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
