Online poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer announcing "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players are given 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s initial card, you must in turn make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s amount is equal to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantaneously to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a sum in accordance with the original wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The bank pays chips equal to your initial bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
