Phil Ivey has been labeled as the number one poker player on the globe by quite a few of the top pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to NJ before his first birthday. His papa introduced him to one cent-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From that point on, Phil was hooked on poker and wished to discover whatever he possibly could about poker. Phil made a decision to take his skills to the next level and headed out west to Las Vegas. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Ivey credits his success to discipline and a continuing love for the game of poker. Phil states that he’s learning every single day and is incredibly abashed about his accomplishments. He knows he makes errors in each session of poker and constantly strives to get better.

Although Phil has won some large tournaments, he favors destroying money games on a normal basis.
