Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the western in a fantastic game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the house, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to fret about any other, more experienced gamblers winning their mulla.

A further Pai Gow edge is the fairly slow game pace, novices will be able to take their time and plan without needing to make hasty choices.

It’s also much simpler to enjoy for an extended time with only a tiny amount of money since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be lower than each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards faces showing and the dealer gets seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
