Beginners Strategy for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the west in an excellent game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the casino, not like nearly all other poker games that players wager with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, starting players don’t need to worry about other, more skillful gamblers winning their money.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game play, novices should be able to take their time and plan without needing to make frenzied selections.
It is also easier to enjoy for a long time with only a tiny amount of cash since, to lose, both of your hands has to be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the house gets seven cards face down.
One five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
