Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is thought to be one of the best players around the world. While wagering on net poker, a different side of Hansen has appeared. He often plays in the 200/400 NL maximum buy in of $40, 000. Gus generally buys-in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very poorly. He waits patiently for a good hand and then pushes all in. I accept that Gus is a great poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has little or no reason to settle at the game with the min buy in.

Buying in for the min takes a majority of the skill out of big stack poker. Hansen is supposed to be one of the best players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amt.. I think television can alter our perception of the real world at times. The best players anywhere in the world may be guys you have never heard of.
