Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the western in an awesome game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the dealer, not like almost all other poker games that gamblers play against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginner players do not have to be concerned about other, more experienced people taking their moolla.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is assigned 7 cards face up and the casino gets seven cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand have to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
